With only three of the letters in LIBERTY showing it would be in the VG range, but there is enough detail on the figure of liberty to grade higher. The reverse is better than the obverse. As Echizento says, the weak LIBERTY would technically hold back the grade but I think Seated dollars get a little latitude. Detail over the rest of the coin is much better than VG. The long, old scratches in the right obverse field are a negative but even so I wouldn't be shocked to see this coin in a PCGS VF-20 holder. It has above average eye appeal considering the level of wear. Report this Post to the Staff
