Have any of you found or do you know of errors on the 09D LP2 or rail splitter?
Thanks Kent
Rest in Peace

At least 2 of the TPG services are not slabbing LP2 errors. I can't blame them. This error thing with "modern" minting techniques has gotten out of hand lately. After all, searching for errors keeps people ordering coins & the mint knows that. Do we have an "errors on demand" situation?

Are you referring to doubled dies (Varieties) or errors? Many DDR's and a few DDO's this LP2 series. I don't think any of the Denver ones has been found yet. There are die clashes on the obverse known and I found two Feeder Finger Damage to a die coins. (You will hear more of that in a few months.)
But errors would include Off Center, wrong planchets, clips (incomplete planchets) doubled struck, unplated planchets and on and on. But die cracks, die abraiding, die deteriation, die wear and others can happen in any year/mint mark/series/denomination/country. These are not errors or vatieties. They are just run of the mill as the die ages.

Die varieties and errors are completely different from one another. I have not heard of any dramatic errors found on 2009 cents, but there are a number of listed doubled dies, which are die varieties - not errors.
