ErrorCoins222, I See already we are thinking about those bullion's, only which one, maybe the 1st, or just a few, or maybe just my home state, or maybe them all, Just what I needed, another silver bullion round to seek out and obtain, or two, or 56!!LOL..

PS: They should be sweet looking.

I certainly would be more interested in obtaining a silver bullion example of each than the clad quarter series. Well at least it is something new, shows the design on a larger area, could be sweet looking.

This message I received this evening from the U S Mint Blog

"If one was to collect the entire series of 56 America the Beautiful Silver Bullion coins, they would have a weight of 280 ounces or 17.5 pounds of silver. The collection would also have a cost of about $5,000, assuming that the coins could be purchased for around $85 each ($17 per ounce) for the duration of the 12 year series. I think this cost estimate will ultimately prove too low.

As a final consideration, the new America the Beautiful Silver Bullion coins might draw ire from some collectors, particularly if they begin to view the series as yet another barrier to the production of collectible proof and uncirculated American Silver Eagles.

Next year, the US Mint will be required to produce one ounce American Silver Eagle coins "in quantities sufficient to meet public demand", five ounce America the Beautiful Silver coins in quantities "the Secretary determines to be appropriate", and collectible proof and uncirculated American Silver Eagles with no specific requirements. Since the Silver Eagles minted for collectors lack a legislative mandate, they would seem to fall into third place for the Mint's attention". 3rd place?

This is getting out of control, now this and the proof ASE'S take 3rd place for production demand! Any thoughts.I also wonder if we as collectors will see the ASE Proof's?

All "I" know, is that I'm going to be MUCH MUCH more "selective" when it comes to purchasing Ultra Modern coins P.E.R.I.O.D.
Using these A.B. Qtrs as a prime example !!

You all just don't understand that the mints profits are where the money to pay for the healthcare plan is going to come from. So keep buying all those different coins, the mint is going to save us all!

Trying to be optimistic. It will give kids something to grow up with.

My boys each filled a State Quarter book and we all had a good time. This will certainly create more interest from younger people. Oh yea it will also keep the price of proof sets high?(back to that mint thing)
