Yes, the slab would be labeled "ACID TREATED". Until recently, NCS also slabbed them and now with PCGS and NGC slabbing problem coins, I assume they will slab them as GENUINE or DETAILS.

Yes, ANACS will do it, no problem. I just don't know if it is worth it. The key 13S T2 is only worth about $30 in restored. That's how much the grading fees/shipping/insurance will run

The two big varieties, 1916 DDO and 1918/7-D DDO, sell for $100-200 with restored dates so those would be an obvious choice for encapsulation.

Thanks for the info. It's an 18/7-D. Other than the 16 DDO or perhaps the 3-legged, I don't think it would be worth it to do so.

The 1918/7-D would be the only one you would want to restore.
The 1916 DDO and 1917-D 3-Legged are easily seen without the date and putting acid on the date, whether it is to enhance or totally restore the date would make the coin less valuable.

So if you do spot one of those two without the date, send it in without using acid, and the value will be considerably more.
