My 2nd ever "V" nickel ..... at 116,000 coins searched. This one is VG(?) condition ..... worth $1 by RedBook but priceless to me.

Also .... in the same roll .... a No-Date Buffalo .... making this the only roll ever where I have found both a "V" and Buffalo.

I know CND and _22_ find lots of "V" ... but for me .... this 1899 is the oldest coin found in a bank roll and I am thrilled to have it.

Yahoo I say!

Congratulations Nickelsearcher! I remember just how ecstatic I felt when I came across my first couple of V's. It's amazing that something so old can still be found in circulation. Great find!

Congrats! Even though many of our finds are not of great monetary value, we still treasure finding them.

Nice find. I have found one also and know your feeling. Value does not always mean dollars & cents. Congrats.

great find, the best thing I've ever found in a roll is either a silver quarter or a 2000-s south carolina proof quarter, anyway good job.

Very nice!! Anyone that has the fortitude to search as many rolls as you have deserves to find a treasure on occasion. Good luck in completing your set.

Yeah, who cares what the actual value is. The fact that you found that in a roll, is priceless. Congrats!
