Here's a 1985-P Roosevelt dime I randomly spotted today. Besides the obverse showing a lot of Die Deterioration, it appears that LIBERTY has notching in a few places. What do you think- is this a DDO?

I would think not. Usually the notching is on the outer edge instead of the inner edges of the devices. Usually in later die states the doubled area on the die show less of the notching than the early examples shows.

In other words--die deterioration?
I'm glad someone knows more than me...because my "experience" is limited to more obvious 19th C. DDOs and world varieties.

I also suspect Machine Doubling. Note the ERTY lower part of the devices. Looks pushed to me.
