Hey guys, I currently have quite the collection of Canadian Colonial tokens in my possession, and all my reference books are OLD, can any one recommend a newer book then the early 90's?

I know exactly what you mean. Alot of these good books are out of print and are like trying to find hens teeth. I finally found a book on British Columbia Trade Tokens that I bought at this site. Link: http://www.exonumia.com/books.htmHe has books on all kinds of tokens and if you do not see what you want on the list just send him an email Hope this helps you & good luck.......

Also try Grady Books http://www.gradybooks.com/ Orville has found some pretty tough books for me, and he is also part of ABE Books, which has links to other book sites.

Post some photos to the tokens in individual threads and I will try to attribute.

I didn't realize that Canada had an Empire with colonies, as the British Empire did ! (ignore that remark ) Actually, I have a Charlton Eighteenth edition (publ. 1970, and I don't collect beyond this date), with quite a good section on Canadian tokens. I bought it for $1 from my LCS. It provided the knowledge background for my reasonably sized collection of Canadian coins and tokens.
