My girlfriend's parents found an old box of coins while cleaning up their long deceased Father's garage. Knowing I am new at coin collecting and would never sell a family collection, they gave them to me which I thought was very nice. I am very happy at what was in the collection.

7 Morgan silver dollars. VF-20 to EF-40 range. All with some very attractive toning.
1878 P (8 feathers variety)
1881 SF
1883 P x 3
1889 NO
1899 NO

There is something about holding and listening to a handful of Morgan's as compared to one at a time.

1 Peace Silver Dollar
1922 P AU-50

9 Eisenhower dollars
1971 P x 9
1972 D

25 Kennedy half dollars
4 Silver Clad
19 Copper-Nickel Clad
2 Bicentennial Copper-Nickel Clad

2 Washington Bicentennial Quarters

2 Mercury dimes.
1944 P
1945 P

1 Buffalo nickel
1936 P

All are in very good shape. Nothing in the MS-60 range, but I am very happy with the above addition. Now, I have to go through the pennies! Sorry to bore you guys. I was excited to share with someone who would understand.

Thank you.

Stephen

cmdrstp,

If you can and have the time, post some pictures (obv/rev) of the 1878 8TF coin in the VAM thread. There are some pricey rarities with 8TF.

nice folks, there.

Say if you break up with her, do you have to return them?

Nope!

they gave them to me

And because of that, that would be a resounding, "NO!" These coins are mine!

It is fun to get things unexpectedly that you love and it is also fun to give things to others that you know they will love and take care of.
