The first Presidential dollar with a truly popular President on it!
(excluding George Washington, of course)
I bet that this Presidential dollar will be high-mintage!

Indeed, this coin will be collected by those who don't otherwise
collect Presidential dollars, and it will be sought as a 'companion
piece' for Lincoln Cent collections.

WOW .. nice looking I hope the coin will look as nice. I have been putting aways some of each one, rolls and ones from mint and proof sets I have been putting away. When I get this one I think it will be time to buy the first book Dansco.

Makes me wish the Presidential dollars started in 2006, thus making Lincoln's golden dollar come this year where it might have been included in the C&C set.

That portrait would have looked good on the cent.

Oops, can't forget about him!
Wheezydog wouldn't want me to forget Jefferson, for sure...

This 'companion piece' (to a Lincoln Cent collection) will be more
affordable and easily obtained than the 2009 Commemorative Lincoln
Silver Dollar (and you know that banks will be hit up for rolls of these!).

Yup....... Like everyone else in the country, I'll be getting a roll or two of the Lincoln Dollars and "putting them away".
I have one roll of each of the first four Presidents......but discontinued the practice of doing that for the rest of the program..(I only select a few singles for my albums now, and that's it)......however Lincoln will be one of the several exceptions to getting "rolls" !

I'll be excited to make a Proof Presidential album one of these days too ! .... ... (though it'll be very doubtful that this future album will ever equal what the Presidential Proof Sets cost each year to acquire....)
With shipping and handling plus the cost of the Set.... x-times-x the number of years of the Program, this will cost .....what.....$300.00 plus to have all of the Proof Sets to make my album.

I saw that DNA LOL!
This is a very nice obverse design.
I just wonder where the high points on this coin would be?
This is a very face forward design.
How would Honest Abe look later on with VF details.

Sort of like Owen Wilson?

Good thing these will be hoarded, Wheezy, cause Honest Abe
would be Honest Noseless Abe by the time the coin got down to G-4 grade...
