I just purchased this set of nickels for five dollars and includes the wooden case. I think I did okay!

That is a great buy since the AirTites empty sell for that much. These do look like hologram gold plated and colorized nickels plus maybe a Buffalo, a War Nickel and a regular Jefferson post 2005. The hologram etc. in my opinion are altered coins and just curiosity coins but still I suppose that adds some collector value but not numismatic value. The box sounds like a neat thing. I have 12 Jefferson varieties that would love to reside in a box like that.

Very nice! I personally do not like the altered coins, but with the airtites and the wood box you got a great deal! I would have bought this my self at that price.

Nice score! I admit I'm a sucker for coloring, so even if it's artificial, it's a nice curiosity. I especially like the 2nd to the right in the top row... but given that you scored a buffalo, a liberty, and a War Nickel along with it, that's a nice deal.
