Alright, I tried to make this as difficult as possible for everyone even though I know some people know more about VAM's than others. I chose this specific coin because it would cut down on people who could identify it just by knowing what I collect and what area I am interested in. I can tell you this is not a 1878 morgan and if it runs for a few days and no one has guessed correctly I may drop a few hints on what date it actually is but I can tell you its not a coin I would usually have interest in so knowing anything about me will not help anyone on this one (except a slight few because they have seen it before). The prize, as some of you know I recently upgraded a Seated Liberty dime in my Dansco7070 album and the coin I replaced will be the coin you will receive. I was told it was in AU condition but even if you don't agree the price is right because all you have to do is a little research and may even gain some knowledge while you are at it (pictures below). Now for the rules:You must have 50 quality posts You can give one guess each day I want to know the date mint mark and VAM Number Have fun The VAM in question (this is the main characteristic of this particular VAM, just different views to try and make it a little easier) The prize: (not sure what happened to the coin, it was sitting on my desk and now has dark splotches on it, wasn't this way when I took it out of the album)

dadGumit! this was supposed to last a few days atleast. That is actually my picture used for vamworld a few years ago. but I guess this contest is over faster than it took to take the pictures and post this thread. DVCollector send me your address and I will get this thing ready to ship to you.
Care to tell me how you found it so quickly? I have never seen another one posted anywhere by anyone else and that is why I chose this one for the contest because I thought it would make some people do some searching to find it

Sorry to cut this one short, but I'm still jazzed to win--not being a VAM collector and all. Quote: Care to tell me how you found it so quickly? I have never seen another one posted anywhere by anyone else Your comment about it not being 1878 made me wonder about the opposite end of the series. So I just went to VAMworld and started at 1921 backwards, looking for die breaks.

the reason I specifically said that was that 1878 Morgan VAM's is my main focus of the series and allot of people on this forum knows that because just about everytime I have a giveaway or secret santa they usually get some type of 1878 VAM (except this year, I wanted to change it up a little and sent a DDR Peace dollar). No need to apologize because you did exactly what I was wanting the winner to do, I just wish I hadn't uploaded that specific VAM onto VAMWorld years ago now though because it made it to easy

I have had so many of these giveaways and each time I think I have something that may run for awhile (while trying to keep it numismatic related also) and it end within minutes. If I ever upgrade any other coins in my 7070 I will probably run another one but I am really not planning on upgrading but that doesn't mean something will not catch my eye and I do it anyway

It is a good thing that I missed this thread before; I wouldn't have known what it was, but would have displayed ignorance with a guess. Anyway, it is extremely nice of you to do such things Bryan. I do have a thought about the following quote though:
"The prize: (not sure what happened to the coin, it was sitting on my desk and now has dark splotches on it, wasn't this way when I took it out of the album)."
I think that something (like dementia) may have dripped on the coin immediately upon removal.

I have to confess I haven't shipped this coin yet, I have had allot going on here at the house during the day but I will try and get it out to the winner tomorrow. I had actually forgotten all about it because it was under some other stuff on my desk
