I just cherrypicked this coin, and am curious if anyone has seen one like it before, 16/16 northeast and bold enough to see with naked eye as the coin is shifted in the light. Any Ideas? Input? Is it substantial? Worth keeping?

I think the experts here will need a macro shot of the date to provide you with an opinion of what you have.

Yes, a closer shot would really help.

I see something in the lower loop of the 6 but no obvious suggestion of a doubled die. The rest of the date digits look normal to me. Please post macro photos if you can....

It may be wishful thinking. I don't see it.

Been there! I see something in the loop of the 6 also, but does'nt look like it would match up with what you see at the top. I have a simular 16' that has another loop below the 6, a matching section in the loop, and also through the top curve of the 6. with notches on all the numbers, and something in the loop of the 9 and more. But I'm told I see and have nothing.
Try changing your lighting and maybe add one to just light up the shadows made by the other light. You may see more, or less. Also try raising one edge of the coin by an eighth inch or more to cast the light more across than down. this may help you too.
