I would like your opinion on this coin. I see some doubling on liberty and in. I checked LincolnResourceCenter and this coin does not match the points that it shows. Is this coin wishful thinking or a real DDO? Thank You

Sorry. It's not the big one. Looks like possible Machine Doubling from striking too hard.

1st welcome aboard- were glad you've joined and asked a question. 2nd Wishfull thinking not a 'real' doubled die obverse as you questioned. enjoy your stay 'live - n - learn' ... MD machine damage is as it sounds mechanical in nature.happens with either the dies ect.parts of the 'coin press'move about /or chatter as it commonly referred to,or the planchet gets damaged before or as the coining strike happens.after the inital striking of the planchet, the now "coin", could chatter about in between the still close dies bouncing up against the dies or the dies could chatter upon the coin and this movement is causing the doubling of the devices(letters/numbers and ect.)of the coin you have.i'll just add this; time line leads to this also;the reference of PMD post mint damage, because it happens after the the 1st striking of the coin. IMHO hope I got this right or some one here can clear it up.so that it is correct information.I'm attempting to help you 'see' and hopefully better understand what you have, and some of how it 'happens' as well.there are way too many more (as this is fairly common), to make it any more valuable than what it says on the back.

Hmmm...even though someone like Alan Herbert might consider Machine Doubling to be "damage", I don't think that would mean it is post mint damage.
