Coinaholic...ditto..one for myself....I was two merit badges short of Eagle Scout because, back in the day, I refused to do public speaking. Regrettable; but, it was what it was when it was.
More regrettable, though: Last year I sold my signed "Boy Scouts of America" book written and signed by Dick Beard.
and now the coin !!

Just placed my order. Should be a hot item. Like someone else posted, only 350,000 issued. My only question is, if they can make proofs of the DV and BS, why not ASE? I will always wonder if the Mint made a few 2009 ASE Proof's, just for employees? |

The only similarity is that they are both coins but they use different sized planchets with differing amounts of silver in differing finesses. Not to mention that these commems are Congressionally mandated while there is no such mandate for proof Eagles. |

Got my two Proofs ordered just a minute ago ! .....  I very briefly considerd getting an Uncirculated one too......but....just don't want to spend the extra money. |

Was a boy scout master for 12 years when my son was growing up.
Also was a cub scout, boyscout and US Marine myself.

This will be my first purchase from the mint. Although I don't really want to spend the money, I think I should get the coin. I went all the way up the scouting ranks. I was a Tiger Cub the second year or so they were started and got my eagle in 94. Although I really haven't been involved in scouting since graduating from high school and leaving for the Army in 95 I think this one should be a keeper.

Hey I got an email saying my coin is shipping. Woo Hoo! Of course I won't be able to see it until I get home from Iraq the end of April, but that's no big deal.
