Poll Question
I'm curious on the thoughts about interest in this when it comes out, by members here. I know a few of your opinions already.....but thought it was time for a poll !

Poll Choices
This will be a hot sell out !
It will not be a sell out at all.
I plan on getting one for myself.
I plan on getting one for a family member.
I'll get as many as I can.
I'll ebay em' if they're hot, otherwise-dont care
I have no interest in this Commem. AT ALL !
I detest all Modern Commemoratives !
I don't think the Boy Scout community is aware of this coin.
This will be a neglected coin by the public as a whole.

I'm getting one for my soon-to-be Eagle Scout Nephew.....and possibly one for myself if I can.
Of course, I hope they're hot.....and a sell-out.....but I'm leaning the direction that they won't be. Mainly, I think that those who would potentially be very interested, will not ever even know about the coin until years after it's too late.
So, do I think this coin will be "mundane" for a few years, and then become "sought after" ? .....in other words..... a "sleeper" coin ? .....well........maybe.
Others thoughts ?

I'm thinking this is going to end up being a gift or award for A LOT of scouts.

I much preferred the design of the 1910 scout lending a helping hand to a modern scout, that is the true essence of scouting, not all-inclusive "diversity" However, I was a scout myself once upon a time and I will eventually encourage any son of mine to join(don't have one yet). Because of that, I feel compelled to purchase one for myself and a second for my possibly future scout son. There are millions of former Boy Scouts, many of them not coin collectors, who I am sure will be interested in purchasing one to commemorate their scouting years and you will also have coin collectors unrelated to the Boy Scouts purchasing them as well just because it is a US Mint offering. I do think this issue will sell out, probably in less than one month with an issue of only 350,000 instead of the usual 500,000 for a commemorative.
Rest in Peace

I will get one for myself, for purely nostalgic reasons, grew up with boy scouts, and reached "life scout" level but I did not make "eagle".

Still a lot of years invested, so a commemorative will be great!

I will be getting at least one. I have decided to purchase as many of the commemorative dollars that I can, the new ones and the ones I should have ordered over the years.

I think its a coin that alot of people will buy for their scouts, and those scouts will scuff them up, lose them, etc. Down the road, BU editions that were put away should rise in value. Just my .02, and it may be worth less than .02. lol.

There has been no greater cause for "coin proceeds" to go to that "I" can think of ! ...

I just wish I didn't have to be so selective and tight with my money right now.......the economy is hitting us really bad. If we salvage a good year though this summer.....I'll get one too though !

I have a set of commemorative dollars and half dollars so I will buy the coin in proof and UNC to keep the set going. I'm not thrilled with the design but I will buy one of each.
