I do the same method as BernieZ. Easy to just bend the roll.


And I got a box today. I have a good feeling about it since my last 3 had nothing.



Edit: So far the good feeling was right. Just opened the box and found a silver ender.

I don't think I've ever had a brinks box. Do they say brinks on them? I usually get either the nf string paper rolls, or the clear plastic rolls, but the box doesn't say brinks. I think they come from loomis.

Nice finds Murrellingotn! Thats a fantastic box!. Bbradford: I only have strings and sons here in Maryland. I think you said your from Texas, so I'm guessing Brinks has a monopoly in that area. Maybe try some smaller banks? Though they may require an account. Now I have to go wrap all 2500 dimes because the coin counter at my new dump bank broke...I may have filled it up last time lol.

You guessed it - just lower numbers made that year. about 50 and 90 million, respectively, if memory serves. Not super-low, but much lower than other recent years. Same thing happened with the nickel too.

went by a few banks today and picked up $200 in CWR's and $100 in String & Sons rolls. I found two silver dimes in the CWR's a 1963D & a 1964D, nothing found in the String & Sons rolls. I spoke with the tellers at each bank who know me and they all agreed to save all CWR's for me to pick up once a week. I plan on buying some gift cards to give to each just to show my thanks and appreciation.

In terms of specifying rolls from the banks I would just ask for as many rolls of as many different types packaged rolls as they have.

I personally have been equally lucky finding both silver dimes in hand rolled as well as machine rolled dimes.
