Swiss is easy and hard to remember. It's not China.

If you see currency exchange using CHF, that's Swiss. CH = Confederatio Helvetica (Confederation of Swiss states) and F = Franc.

Two-character country code (postal or URL) of CH is also Confederatio Helvetica.

Stamps and coins: Helvetia = Swiss.

I haven't been able to roll hunt in almost 2 weeks. Gonna go through withdrawals soon. Hope someone posts some new finds here soon so I can search vicariously through them :-)

good point bigfred

but what about the other factor... who keeps putting silver INTO circluation

Ppl spending the last of their rainy day stash for gas, food or medicine.

Junior discovered dad's "icicle cream" money.

Gifts or inheritances (these seem to be one-shot deals)

Burgurglers and other assorted low lifes.

Nickel doesn't stick to a magnet either tho...

Pure nickel, like Canadian coins, does.

My last box produced 4 silver Rosies! 2 1964, a 1963 and a 1954.
I dont search dimes often but this was the most silver I have found in a single box.

Did $30 more in dimes. El zilcho.

However, the teller asked me what I was looking for and I told her I was looking for silver, and she said she'll put aside any silver dimes she finds for me.

I'm curious what the 'hit frequency' is for Merc Dimes. I know the answers will vary but I would like to hear your thoughts. On average, how many boxes do you go through before hitting a Mercury dime? I've went through roughly 20 boxes of dimes and not found one yet.

Owassokie: Yikes! I have yet to find a Merc as well, but I only go through about $50 at a time. I've maybe done a single box in the last month or so. I would be kind of sad if I had to go another 20 months before finding one.

I've hit the dimes for 5 years now. My merc rate is about 1 per 5 or 6 boxes, or 1 per $1,500 in cwr. Last year I searched about 30 grand in dimes, mostly cwr. I don't care to dump (who does), or my volume would be triple or more. My totals for 2011 was about 15 mercs, it shows more but I dig a lot more mercs than I find in rolls, those things are EVERYWHERE! I've dug several 1916's but no D yet. Have fun in the dime search!

If anyone is interested, my rate for Barber dimes is about 1 per $30,000 or so. I've found six so far.

Mercuries are pretty much the main reason I've taken up dime searching. Though silver Roosevelts are always welcome in my collection

It'll probably be a while before I find one of either.
