I got two reports to make. One is from last weekend as I went through a box and got 3 x '68 dimes(50%). I was pretty happy about that. The second is not through CRH, I just went to a sub place for dinner and saw a King George the 6th staring at me. That would place it pre 1953ish. The funny part was it was staring at me from the give a penny, take a penny tray...the bonus was when I flipped it over it was a Newfoundland dime from 1941. Oh and yes I took it...with their permission of course.

Well I don't know how much longer I can keep this up for but I will definitely enjoy it while I can. Another night of work and I was able to pull two more dimes again.

Hi Peeps, I hate to beat a dead horse but I'm relying on my CRHing peeps to help a brother out. If you have or currently search brinks clear plastic wrapped dimes, please let us know how much success (or lack there of) you've had with finding silver. Personally, I've only found 2 or 3 (out of many boxes) and they were only found because I searched by date. They were very dirty/stained.

I've also heard that brinks services Coin-star and we all know that the Coin-star machines kick out the silver.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

no fair Brad - you work at a bank... lol

Owasokie... my mom works at a bank that uses strictly Brinks armored service - she has NEVER found a silver usa dime and she goes through alot of rolls. Everytime, it ends up being Canadian, BUT that brings up another interesting facet - shouldn't Coinstars kick out Canadians too?

Lonz, that's interesting. I don't know that much detail about ccoinstars and the difference between the two countries' dimes to make it filter one and not the other. I do know that some 67 and 68 Canadians are only 50 percent silver and later dates are 80. Not sure how a coinstar would recognize that? Weight?
