Seems like you guys are going through lots of dimes and only finding one 1964....is it really worth it? Just wondering out loud. All that work for a three dollar coin.

The fun for me is in the hunt-I never know what I'm going to find! There's always a chance you'll strike it rich as well!

if you look a little harder at the thread you will notice many of the active people on this thread find around 3 dimes a box
plus and I really want to type in all caps here
it isn't about the money!
how many times do I have to see it typed here
many of the people here are trying to fill the roosevelt set from 46-present through roll searching
I have 14 holes left. Don't get that far along finding 1 1964 a box.
Just saying, once again odds are very good that you aren't going to make money roll searching
you are having fun, maybe saving buying some pieces at a coin show and collecting
Silver is the added bonus
2 boxes wednesday. Hopefully I can get a 1964 hah

My last box had 7 silver in it. But for most of us if not all of us are searching for the thrill. If we were in it for the money none of us would be searching rolls. It takes too much effort, time, and gas and doesn't produce enough profit. But we are looking to quit our day jobs from roll searching. It is about completing our sets from circulation exclusively, and also finding other neat or rare varieties that are out there in the wild. It is simply a hobby.

This is the way I see roll hunting, whether it be dimes or halves. I collect the coins I want from searching, the leftovers and duplicates are put away until there's a coin I want to buy. I'll either trade the extra silver for it or sell the silver then buy the coin(s).

Did a box today from one of my dump banks, I know bad move. I was shocked to find 1 Rosie, and 3 Canadians.

Roll searching is not for making money. I dont know about the rest of you but, for me it is to complete sets and find cool coins. Plus I get a very Euphoric feeling when I see that silver rim. That Euphoria gets stronger with every silver rim I see, until out pops a canadian or 5 Pence
