I think it depends on what you are after and how much you are willing to spend on the offering. If you are trying to fill holes, go for it but make a decision on what it's worth to you. Look up each coin in say the Red Book and maybe go as far as 50% of book value. Remember that the Red Book and most other publications tend to be a bit on the high side. If you can't get it for a good deal, wait for the next good looking lot as there is always another sooner or later.

Some of the dimes could be worth 4-5 dollars each in G condition. It's hard to tell because the pics aren't very good but I wouldn't go much over 20 bucks for the lot just in case most of them are scrap.

For these random lots, I will usually bid 10% higher than the melt value of the coins, if I want or need the coins. Otherwise, I bid melt-shipping. I buy these a lot for less than melt value. I just got 26 Mercury dimes for $26 shipped. It sometimes works out OK.

It sounds like some of these coins would be "scrap" (or, at least junk silver!) and there is always the chance some are cleaned and/or damaged. My maximum offer would be around 10X face value, including shipping cost. Perhaps there would be a couple decent coins that would make the overall deal a good one.

the prize of the lot would be the CC minted Barber dime. of couse we know this would actually be a Seated dime, and depending on the design engraved, could be worth quite a bit to a CC collector.

Also, Barber coins often have a premium over spot. I'd say don't bid more than $45 shipped.
