Why would I want to pay $16.95 for a silver eagle when silver spot prices are at or below $10/oz? What kind of investment is that?

You would not want to pay $16.95 for a silver eagle if spot was $10.
Do you feel better now you have been told?
Eagles can be had for between $1 and $2 over melt if you look around. Sometimes you can get realy beat up ones for less than melt.
If you do however decide you do want to pay $16.95 each for them PM me and I will sell you a whole bunch of them.
Rest in Peace

Yeah, who's trying to peddle ASEs at $16.95 when they can be had on ebay already slabbed at MS-68 or -69 by PCGS (or NGC or ANACS) for $15?

Sounds like a Readers' Digest or Coin Vault sale.

Yep, those are the adverts I'm referring too. It's also interesting seeing ASE and Maple Leafs on ebay go for way more than spot price. Either the bidder doesn't care or is uninformed.

Seems the silver market is different than the ebay market as ebay prices are determined by bidders and not the actual spot prices. I don't mind a couple bucks over spot but when they are being sold double spot is where I have a problem.

you know this is a bit off subject but the guy next door just sold a used drill onlt ten times used maybe, worth brandnew $200.00 people bid it all the way up to $450.00. I think people just get hooked on the idea of not being outbid. some kind of power trip or something
