I am just about to finish up on a set of Lincolns I have put together for my son.I have had so much fun putting this together, and it has really been rewarding.I've learned how much of a penny fan I am,as I am working on a Canadian one as well.Anyway,I was just curious to find out how many Lincoln collectors there are in the forum. What got you started with them? How many have a complete set?sn31.

I collect Lincolns just missing the 09svdb and the 22 no D both of which will probably stay missing unless I find one from Circulation :-)
I still search all my change just on the off chance...

Im a Lincoln collector.

I have completed two sets both less the 55 DDO and the 22 no D,, One I have kept, the other I sold, and am working on a third which will hopefully be much better quality than the others. The 09-S VDB has gone through the roof since I purchased the other ones,, but I'm a Raw coin guy so I may at some time be able to afford what I'm looking for.

Im also working on a Raw proof set, This has been a fun set with room for constant upgrade.

Well When I finish my trades I'm thinking of starting a set from year 1943 to year 2006 and I'm thinking of getting all the coins in ms-60 or higher

Rest in Peace

I have collected both the Lincolns and the Canadian cents for decades.

I still am missing the keys.

Will complete my sets immediately after I win the lottery.

Count me in among the other denominations. I'm still sorting through thousands from 1909-2006. Maybe I'll be through them in my lifetime!

I have hundreds of Wheaties, but I wouldn't call myself a collector because I couldn't tell you what they are.

Hello. I have a nice Lincoln set going but still needs some work. I would say my set is all ms63-65 red. A few coins are turning red/brown but I still appreciate them just as much. I am missing the 1912,14 and 15 for the Phily mint and all the mint marked coins from 1927 and later. I have been adding to this set off and on for 11 years and resumed the task not to long ago. All are in a Dansco album. I am also doing a circ. set and am missing the '09-S, '09-S VDB, '14-D. Never had a real interest in the '22 plain. The '55 is pricey but I hope to have one.

I talked to my Grandfather about the 55DDO and he said he should have more than one in the boxes (either the one he gave me or the ones he still has and going to give me at a later date). He said they were a novelty item and they would put them in a certain brand of Cigatettes (not the kind he smoked but he would buy them anyway because of the Novelty Coin inside)so maybe I should get these things out and look through them and I may find a few more of these things in there. Anyone else heard of these things being given out as novelty items in cigarettes (I dont know how long ago but it was probably when they were first made or around that time)or is he just pulling my leg on this one
