You should take into consideration that the 1958 doubled die is a nearly unique coin with only two specimens ever found. Both were in the same bag, and suspition abounds that these were clandestinely minted and placed into a marked bag. In other words, you chances of ever finding one of them is so close absolute zero you'd need a computer to calculate the odds. Really, your time would be far better spent looking for die varieties that are actually there, and stop concentrating on the near-impossible. There are plenty of them that are difficult - yet not impossible to find. A 1958 DDO would be an impossible find.

Quote:I knew it! 1958 DDO! Did someone verify this for you? No follow up to that declaration? Can we get some red, yellow and green pictures to overlay so that we can see what the coin actually looks like? j/k! Still, why are the pics blue? Can't you post a pic of the coin in it's natural color? I tried to go back and look at some of your other links, but you either removed them or made them private - they don't work anymore. I wanted to take a closer look at IN GOD. I only got to see it once, but I thought that showed best what you were seeing. When I mentioned it in the other thread, I think you said brb, but you never came back with a pic. Maybe it was just Die Deterioration Doubling, but without better pics, it's hard to tell anything. Everyone is here to help, but you have to help us to help you.

The coin in blue is not a 1958 Doubled Die Obverse. Neither is the coin that is up there now:-)
Thanks, Bill
