Scooby Due Pillar of the Community United States 4000 Posts	Posted 04/30/2010 08:59 am I think it's a '91, too. The initials should be the same that we look for to verify somebody's '98-00 Wide AM. There's just something different. I noticed the split plating above some of the lettering and around the memorial. I wonder if they are related? It doesn't look like the inner loop of the G has been polished away, and the bottom "tail" of the G isn't quite as pronounced as it should be. I'm sure there is a reasonable explanation. The initials almost look like a mix of the '88 and '91 design. Report this Post to the Staff

Scooby Due Pillar of the Community United States 4000 Posts	Posted 04/30/2010 2:47 pm That's what prompted the thread. The one on the right is the normal pre-'93 Wide AM reverse. I'm sure mine is too, just like Chuck said, but the designers initials resemble more like the pre-'89 reverse, well the G anyway, not the F. I'm just trying to figure out what would make the initials look like this. Maybe it's just Die Deterioration or a weak strike. I don't know. They seem thinner, spaced more apart, and, like you mentioned, the bar on the inside part of the G. Report this Post to the Staff
