SsuperDdave Moderator United States 23522 Posts	Posted 05/02/2010 11:03 am Knowing how common 1881-S's are in high grade, I'm gonna go against the trend here and say it's 65 all day. I'd like to see the obverse under the same angle and lighting, but rotated 90 degrees - that will bring out any marks we can't see because of the angle of the lighting. The cheek looks really nice, though, and a TPG grader who has a total of ten seconds to look at the coin will check that first. Report this Post to the Staff

wheatguy Pillar of the Community United States 1534 Posts	Posted 05/25/2010 5:26 pm The reverse is PL most likely, the the coin overall isn't and wouldn't get the Pl designation at a TPG.
