I think the answer would depend on whether you are asking a bullion investor, or someone who is collecting it as a coin!

Seems like my local dealer is selling them in low $20 range. Most times he is buying ASE at $1.00 over spot.

I just bought a 2010 from a local dealer here for $22 plus tax. That seems to be about the going rate. I would imagine that a 2006 would be about the same price.

They are usually bought just a little back of spot (low grade-dinged, fingerprinted) to spot (UNC) If fingerprinted only, they'll probably buy at spot, then "restore", then sold as UNC!

According to my records, I bought a slabbed NGC MS69 2006 Silver Eagle for $32 dollars at the Wilmington Coin Show at Nur Temple in New Castle, DE in Jan. So slabbed $32.00, unslabbed, low $20.00 range. Since bullion has risen quite a bit the spot price might be higher now.

well they must be pretty rare based on this auction!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...TRK:MEWAX:IT

LOL I emailed the seller and as kindly and politely as possible explained that there is no was they would get $199.99 for this coin.. But they insist that they sold them like this at this price before so who knows

Seriously though, the pawn shop near my office sells raw ASE's for spot +10%, usually though he sells them for $20 each regardless of spot

Yep, looking at the sellers feedback (all of it) I can really see that they have certainly sold 2006 ASE's for two hundred bucks before. (edit) I noticed that it's indicating 20th Ann. so if it's the Burnished from that set, it still ain't a $200 coin. That would be a very good price for the whole set. (/edit) And just look at all the other "quality" items up for auction! Look at all the coins!

This is just another one of those situations that makes me think "This is one of the funniest things I've ever seen!"

I may just waste some of my precious life doing the Popcorn Polka with this one. I have to see how this "story" ends!

This isn't even the first coin this person has tried to sell. Last week they had a raw 1986 ASE in the same type of package and the same quality photo. Again listed at 199, and suprise suprise it did not sell.

Normally I do not involve myself in other peoples affairs, but after looking at this persons other auctions I realized that they have no coin knolage and I was just trying to help them out.. o well..
