I really like that coin! I'm no good at grading these, but though there is a lot of obvious wear, she still has quite a bit of depth and roundness to her face. My vote is VF-25.

Like johnny54321, I can't grade these to save my life, but I like the way the reverse die sems to be starting to stress out at the tops of the lettering. Gives the coin extra character. Nice coin!

In my opinion, mid VF range, typical bad strike.

Definitely a strong VF. One of the better ones I've seen lately.

Actually, a better than average strike. Coin has obvious wear especially in hair, drapery, ribbon, and wreath. Nice eye appeal and looks original and undisturbed. VF25

Very good eye appeal on this well preserved piece. I'm going with VF35.

When in doubt, I always go back to the CCF Coin Facts! Draped Bust Half Cent General Grading StandardsAG3 About Good - Clear enough to identify. G4 Good - Bust outline clear, few details, date readable. Reverse lettering worn and incomplete. VG8 Very Good - Some drapery shows. Date and legends complete. F12 Fine - Shoulder drapery and hair over brow worn smooth. VF20 Very Fine - Only slight wear in above areas. Slight wear on reverse. EF40 Extremely Fine - Light wear on highest parts of head and wreath. AU50 About Uncirculated - Wear slight on the hair above forehead. (I think the professional graders give a little slack in these guidelines with these older Draped Bust coins). So, I'll go with: VF-20. (It is very pretty!!)

I'll agree as well. VF-20. If grading conservatively maybe a Fine-Choice

Thank you all for your grading help, I have learned a lot. I have been focused mostly on Canadian large cents 1858-1901 so this Half Cent was way out of my area. Do you have any idea about what it is worth? I casualy looked up what I could and there seem to be more variables than my brain can take in this week. thanks again.

I believe the variety is crossed 4 with stems - which puts the value in the $200 range.
It's a great looking specimin!
