Thanks all for the heads up. I saw the spike under the chin on ebay and it looks similar to the "rusty fish hook" but in my case I do not have the pitting in "O" in dollar and other marker's. Also the one on ebay had 3 spikes / clash marks coming from the chin area. FWIW, the clash on the neck that I have is stronger than the one on VW. It may be the pic that they have posted over there is being skewed by the brightness. What other "O" mint years are in this bucket / data not reliable? Thanks I got this from VW - interesting post / comments. http://www.vamworld.com/message/vie...478#10040426"re: 1904-O VAM 33A? Is this clash mark the same? shyatt01 Mar 10, 2009 1:54 pm A number of of the 1994-O's were clashed, re-clashed, polished, clashed and counter clashed, polished again, etc. 1904 must have been another big party year in New Orleans. Laissez les bons temps rouler." Peace

Why is that Terry? Is it now ascertained that all 33s have the clash, or that the clash on the 33A has rubbed off?

VAM 33 A has been disputed for a long time. Alan Scott in his research with high grade 1904-O's was able to prove 33A was an incorrect listing. Actually Zee, the change is necessitated by die marriage.

I'm just wondering if they are going to combine the OL pitting of the VAM 1 and 4 series with the VAM 33 series or a combination of some3thing like that..

Could be, buddy.....absolutely 'anything' is possible, but I rather think that 33A will become a new discovery though....probably to the credit and glory of that "Alan" guy.

well clearly there was some mix up from the start. as VAM 28A was a super CD "G" clashed oBverse and the 28A was listed and an "IN" clash..later revised to VAM 33...lets keep the families straight..the jacksons and the ozmonds are not of the same family..or numbering system...vam 28B had no buisness being likened to a G clash die progression...I'll have to check with my 2A and 28 to see if theres a connection..?

it will now be the 35A and the old 35A was eliminated. Allen is doing some Magic with some very hard dates. His 02-O attribution guide is like no other. ANYONE can attribute 02-O's with it. It has more pictures and is more thorough than any other guide I own. Bar none. I am looking forward to this new 04-O guide.
