Old gold seems to have great beauty even without high mint state. Kinda "softer" & more mellow.

Quote: Awesome looking Saint Moe Thank you Sir! And as I have told you before, I am in absolute AWE of your Gold Collection. I can only dream! (P.S. Just FYI (if anyone cares...): my 1908 was graded as MS-60)

Quote: (P.S. Just FYI (if anyone cares...): my 1908 was graded as MS-60) who graded it MS-60? a TPG? imho, that saint is waaaaaaaaay better than MS-60. It looks solid 64 to me with a good shot at 65. These big gold coins are graded more liberally since they have a tendency to pick up heavy bagmarks, and I don't really see hardly any mentionable marks on that one. If she is raw, I'd send her in to get slabbed. Quote: 1856 $1 Type 3 Indian Princess Head (large head) (ex-jewelry) she's led a hard, but likely quite interesting life.
