I have looked at a coin I recently received, and it seems to have doubling all throughout the obverse. I have read that this is a very rare variety. Is this true? If so, does it carry a premium? The coin is about MS-63 red. Thanks.

Im afraid my pics are not going to show the doubling clearly. I just want to know if theres a variety for this.

1874 S-1 is the big DDO for that year with doubling primarily on LIBERTY. Doubling elsewhere is more than likely attributable to Longacre doubling.

I still paid 75 bucks for it though, so I'm not unhappy. Was just hopeful : (
