It's our first Cu-Ni roll-find! And to think, it was headed for a cash register!

Thank you! Needless to say, I'm still shaking! About two or three years ago, we found an 1865. Of course, that one's alloyed-Cu. It took paint stripper (xylene) and some hard scrubbing with an old, sawed-off toothbrush to bring up the details on the severely-corroded surface, but it turned out we had got the so-called "Fancy 5' variety. That was the earliest IHC we had found before this one. This one only has it beat by three years, but it's in much better shape (G4, perhaps a little damaged?), and it's our first Cu-Ni! And just when things were going dark for us on halves, we switch back to cents, and bingo!

Thank you all! Ianmprice, it was from $10 of rolls I picked up at the commercial drive-up window last night (I didn't even have to get off my horse and go in! ) And Lori, welcome, and the luck is on its way!

That's AWESOME. I've only found a few Indians and that was back about 40 years ago. Still looking for them though. I did find a 1909 Lincoln a couple months ago. It was only in G condition but over 100 years old is cool anyway.
