This idiot won't give up! He is as tenacious as he is stupid! Why am I calling him "stupid"? Here's why: ebay pulled his listing yesterday after it had already sold. Apparently, ebay got to the buyer before he paid (Scubu nailed this) because he has relisted the nickel. Now he has listed it as a 1914-D in F+ condition! Still no mention of being restored, chemicals, acid, etc. This time, he is using his own photos rather than the one he stole from me. But here is where he became stupid: The nickel is still in the same 2x2 that I put it in and in the lower right corner it clearly shows the last 5 digits of MY ITEM NUMBER from when I sold it to him as an altered coin. (I always mark my 2x2's with the last 5 digits of the item number) I've reported him, AGAIN, and would appreciate if a few more of you would also. Here is his new listing: http://cgi.ebay.com/KEY-DATE-1914-D...em23089909bfThanks!

Just reading your last response has me visualizing the story of the little boy putting his finger in the leaking dike.

It's still there - 5 bids already, at 20 something dollars. Maybe ya should just consign your coins to him directly!

A friend of mine sent him a message asking if the coin was chemically treated in any way and here is what he wrote: no it has not been treated just passed down to me and I have no use for it > > - austin_towery

My friend wrote him again and said to him: Thank you for your prompt reply. Upon closer examination of this coin, the position of the staples in the holder and your Feedback for items you recently purchased I am absolutely 100% sure that the coin you are selling in this listing is THE EXACT SAME COIN that you purchased on or about July the 6th. (see item number 150462487721). The clear description by the original Seller of the coin at that time is that it had been '.....chemically altered to bring out the date and other nice details...." So, what is the truth? To which the guy replied: the nickel I'm selling is not in as good as condition as the one I bought. that is why I have no use for the nickel because I was able to find one in better condition but altered. it doesn't matter to me that its altered but for my collection id rather have the better looking one. if you decide to pass I understand, and if you want an altered one I recommend the buyer I bought from, really nice seller Hahahahaha! He complimented me! That's hilarious! (I think that the nonsensical nature of his reply indicates that the noose is tightening and he's not getting enough blood to his brain!)

My friend, who is like some sort of pit bull or avenging angel when it comes to stuff like this, finally got some truth out of the guy. He wrote and said: "He finally owned up that it is the same coin you sold him and that it is the same coin he sold yesterday that was delisted by ebay after the auction ended. I gave him some suggestions to call ebay and get it pulled and if that doesn't work then to get "a friend" to buy it and then do a mutual cancellation to get his fees back. (I did not let on that you and I have talked or that the listing may be about to be pulled.) Also told him if it does sell then he needs to immediately contact the buyer and let them know the truth about the coin. He admitted to me that he did not read your complete description about the coin and that he was really disappointed with himself and that he was just trying to "get rid of the coin". (Is that STUPID or what?)"Okay...that sounds pretty good except for the fact that he was bidding on 3 more of my coins and he was already in possession of the first one...so I'm not buyin' it. He's cornered and he's dancin' - no doubt about it. On another humorous note, I see this has now become a hot, flaming topic on the Forum. It's humorous because more than half of the replies to it are from me! Call me a topic stuffer!

Oh yeah I'm tempted to write him as well but theres not much time left. This guy is why ebay has a bad name. I seel for my work on ebay and get so tired of it because there is no trust. I always try and give accurate pics and descriptions. I have to say I am getting excited seeing how he is getting scared.

i already emailed him, I said: are you sure this isn't chemically altered in any way? my son really wants a nice clean un-altered key-date Buffalo nickel for his set. and he said: yes this coin has been altered. sorry to disappoint you!

8 Feedback with none as a seller? Personally I would never touch an auction like that either way. It's crazy what people will do and sad to see others get suckered by it.

most of the coins he is selling are the coins he has recently purchased. And he's stealing the pictures from the other sellers to use as his own.

I sent him a message on ebay as well & asked if he had larger pics, his response was that no, but he did assure me that it is an XF coin & that I will not be disappointed!
