My Mother-in-Law showed this to me today. I immediately checked the dates. Thank God only 3 were 1916Ds!

Shucks dude! What if they were all 42/41 or 42/41-Ds? Now that would be a conversation starter! Nice bracelet, though, the fact that the dimes are all concho'd makes think the piece is of Navajo origin.

I see a lot of jewelry made out of Mercury dimes rather than any other coin, I wonder why this is.

Actually, I find this quite attractive. Highly polished and re-worked a bit ... what's not to like about it? Still, you have to hope that anyone who turns junk silver into jewelry knows a little about coin values ...

1. One of the best looking coins we ever had.
2. Cheaper that using Quarters or Half Dollars
3. Due to size more fit on bracelets, necklaces, etc. compared to larger coins.
4. Have the appearance of jewlery
