I've got one local shop. They charge a low of $25.00 for loose ASEs. They put some into flips, mark them BU and charge $35.00. I don't buy there.

Yes ratio411, I believe in the whole buy low - sell high theory that you speak of. With prices for ASE at a all time high, maybe the train has left the station on making a profit in the foreseeable future for now. But I'm looking very long term. When I'm gone I can leave my daughters a collection of silver eagles to profit from no matter what I have payed for them in the past. Commodity's market is very fickle thing. Could rise to $50/oz or drop like a rock to $4/oz, nobody knows. If the price declines to the $4/oz. that you speak of, well I can accumulated even more for my girls. Just MHO!

Over in Quincy Illinois where my closest coin shop is he charges $25.00 for them. I bought the 2009 and 2010 from him only in case they do not make those years in Proof. I have been building a ASE proof collection, because I like them.

I paid $23 for one last Monday. I actually thought it was a bit steep but oh well. I did get a PF70 95 silver Kennedy half for $80 and a PF70 06 Silver Kennedy half for $38. Got a few other things too, ended up spending a total of about $235 in total.

I decided to try the one new shop we have in Austin. He does spot + $2.50 for ASEs. For generic rounds he's at spot + $1.

I have a great relationship with my local dealer and he lets me have them for spot + .25 cents as long as he bought them from a private seller. (Meaning he is probably buying from the general public at a buck or 2 under spot.) For most people he sells at 1.50 to 2 dollars over spot.

I purchased 100 year 2010 for 21.24 each. Seller feedback is paramount here.
