eaglefoot Pillar of the Community United States 6326 Posts	Posted 07/27/2010 4:48 pm NEWBIE CONTEST ! COME ONE COME ALL ! STEP RIGHT UP ! GIVE IT A SHOT ! DO YA FEEL LUCKY ? By "newbie" I just mean that you must be reletively new to coin collecting. Under THREE years will do nicely. (honesty is the best policy too, of course ! ... ) The group of prizes will reflect several different types of coins. There will also be some foreign coins. So, this will be like a "gift bag of goodies" as a prize. I may reveal what "some" of the coins are as we go along. ONLY THOSE IN THIS HOBBY FOR THREE YEARS AND UNDER PLEASE ! Okay, now that this is clear, here are the parameters of the contest. You will get one guess per day, for one week. At the end of that week, I will announce the winner of the round and that person shall be scored one point. The first person to post the correct guess will score the point. If there is no winner at the end of any given week, I will extend it and offer hints until a correct guess is made ! Since there will only be five questions, there will be no "ties" to worry about. No prize will be given until this final round. But you must participate in each round until the end to qualify. If the same person gets the first three questions correct, he or she will be awarded a "mystery prize" as a bonus, as well as the "gift bag" main prize. There will be FIVE ROUNDS in total. You do not need to guess all five questions correctly to win this nice "gift bag" prize. You only need to have the most correct guesses. (I do reserve the right to "tweak" the rules here and there as needed to adjust for any unforeseen oversights on my part regarding the "rules".) Here we go Newbies ! Welcome to this hobby ! ... Welcome to this forum ! ..... And welcome to this contest ! ... .... ..... ...... A two parter: Name the first "coin folder" that I ever completed ? And what coin product company made this folder ? (in other words what coin type or series was it and who made the folder ?) Guessing starts NOW, but officially I will go from Wednesday morning to Wednesday morning as the "7 day week".
