It's definitely not the major doubled die.
I think there are at least two minor doubled dies, maybe it is one of those.

I do not see anything at all in the scan provided. It looks to be completely normal.

There are actually 10 or 11 different recognized doubled dies for 1972 P cents. There are no "types" - just different dies (just to be clear).

It could be a master die doubled example with the devices set aside on the corners of the image. If it is this image will help to see if the doubling matches it.

This is common and can be found on all three mints coins in a good percentage of coins. Just worth what it is marked on the reverse.
