I'm looking to purchase for my type set. I really like these ones but can't make up my mind on which one. They are not certified and graded by the dealer. EF45 Asking $89 AU55 Asking $59 AU58 Asking $82 AU55 Asking $89 I would appreciate your opinion on these. Thank you.

I like the 1857 too, but from the pics, it looks like it might have been cleaned. I see what looks like some gunk on the reverse in the H and A, but like I said, it could just be the pics

My first choice is the 1857, simply because of its age, my second choice is the 1893--just because-- Although the 1911 looks the best by pics supplied--Did I help any?hehe

I would say the 1857 however the 1893 Barber is the nicest coin there at least by the pics. Then again seated in that condition is getting harder to find

I love the 1893 a lot - it has a nice luster from what I can see.

I too am partial to the Seated Liberty, 1857. I also like the 1893...I'd get both but, that's just me. I can never choose between two coins that I like. As far as cleaning, I'll leave that decision up to you as you have seen the coins up close and personal (I hope). They are all nice looking coins with no obviously bad wear or dings that I can see. Ah heck, get them all!

I like the 1893. The Half Dime looks like it came from pitted dies, possibly die rust. Hopefully the bumps aren't from bursted casting bubbles at the Bejing Back Alley Branch mint. Of course if your not bothered by pitted dies that's okay too. But for a type set you can just easily look for one that's not.

Get all 4. you know you want to. :) 1857 and the 1911 would be okay. 1857 if I had to choose just 1.

Funny comment Long9. I would purchase the 1893 first because it has a fairly low mintage compared to the rest. My next choice would be the 1857 because it is older than the other 2. Since you are just filling a spot in your type set you may want to go the cheaper route the 1913.
