Large Lincoln Cent made out of over 80,000 Cents
displayed at Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum

There is a local art competition that takes place every year in Grand Rapids called "Art Prize"
that draws artists from all over.
Artist's works are displayed at different locations through out the city.
I woke this morning and was watching the local news and saw a picture
of some work done by a local artist of a VERY LARGE 2006 Lincoln Cent
that was made out of over 80,000 individual Lincoln Cents.
I tracked down the picture from Wood TV 8's web site (Photo Credit).
This was a very cool thing to wake up to. And thought I would share it with everyone.
I have no association with the below artist. Just thought it was cool.

i disagree I think it looks MS to me. maybe 64?

there could be a touch of wear behind the ear, might just be softness in the strike, though

Whoa! That is wicked cool! I wonder how much it weighs?

Even if no copper cents, it's over 500 lbs.

THat's really interesting art work. I noticed all the ones shown in the blown-up picture are heads! What are the odds?
