Quote:1878-P VAM 84A is a clashed E coin that can be found. This is easy to find and just about 8 out of 10 1878 Long Nock Morgans that aren't 7/0TF will be this VAM and adds absolutely no value to the coin. I bet I have 30 of these in my collection ranging from MS-62 through MS-65, some (most) graded, some raw

one of the nicest things I have come to SEE HERE ON THIS SITE....is the INFO or charts that people like SEATEDNUT and SUPERDAVE bring to this site.. it would take some time and experience to layout a simple break down of how to quickly identify the 1878 series..WITHOUT A QUESTION......its fast and easy for some 240 vams... its things like this that really make vamming worth while...the people who share as they can.if you missed the printout... I will look back and let you know where to find it....

So I went looking for VAMs this weekend at the So. St. Paul coin show this last Sunday. I bought two 1921P, one 1896, one 1900O, and one 18870. Three of the coins were interesting, had errors/VAM?, you folks have inspired an oldtimer. Thanks! As I have said previously< I don't know and, have tried to figure out how to post photos to this website....but....soon come, hopefuly...But anyways my new quest will be any and all 1878's....full speed ahead....
Cheers from the tundra...Erik

good luck on the 1878's you will be in good company because I think we have quite a few that love these 1878 VAM's myself included. If the coin I just sent to Leroy Van Allen turns out you will have another one to look for

and by the way.. VAMS WHO CARES, I guess if you like puzzles and another doesn't its all good.....not every one wants to play a marathon monopoly game.....to each there own...I do like them for the beauty of the coin and the puzzles within them...for the history behind all of it....

I have heard of money woes and women being the catalyst for what really drives the liver into cirrhosis, but a specific year of silver dollars is a new one on me....but actually, I might see how the 1921s could be the cause of money woes and woman trouble as well.
