Well I see in the Coin World news the five ounce bullion national park coins will be selling soon. I was hoping to get these but considering the price of silver these days my guess in one will sell for around $135.00 and when you think there are 5 per year that is allot of money and how many will be issued think it is around 50. So do not think I will be getting these after all.

I hope they're only $135. I'm thinking they'll be $175 but maybe I'm way high with my guess. After seeing them in this picture, I know I'll get one.

The way the Mint's prices have been lately, I think $175.00 is pretty accurate. Only time will tell.

I think the $135 figure will probably be closer. Remember these are supposed to be bullion coins and they are being sold through the bullion distributors NOT directly from the mint. They sell the ASE at spot plus $2 per oz. If they do the same with the ATB hockey pucks that would be $10 over spot Considering the fact there is probably some extra difficulty making the ATB's I could see a slightly higher premium but not spot + $10 an oz. On the other hand what price the distributors ask for the coins is another matter. 100K coins per design is not a large mintage. And when you split that 100K between five or six distributors no one is going to get a large quantity. Add to this the fact the the TV people have probably already contacted the distributors and have pre-orders in for a large quantity of the coins I could see there being a shortage in the marketplace with demand exceeding supply resulting in an initial high price. I could see a $175 prices in the open market, and least from the secondary dealers after the primary distributor and the secondary dealer add in their profit margins.

As nice as they may look, I will be sticking with the regular sized silver proofs.

These should be going on sale within a month so we'll soon find out. Rumor has it that the Home Shopping Network has already purchased the entire 2010 mintage, so we'll have to pay their prices. Just kiddin' ya'all.

When Silver takes that historic inevitable dive.......there's going to be a lot of folks stuck with giant "Hockey Pucks", that they've paid WAAAAYYY too much money for !! It isn't a "coin"....(I mean technically it IS legal tender, but, you know what I mean) It's just more like a huge Franklin Mint Silver round or Medallion or something. (Which I've said before) I'm really just falling less and less interested in these, as far as wanting them in my collection.....

Im going to get one for novelty sake, but no way am I gonna try to collect these... I'm keeping little bits of Silver in case I'm wrong, but I'm betting on the inevitable collapse of silver and gold

I saw them on AMPEX and signed up for their email alerts but now they are not on the website anymore. Anyone know who else will be selling these?
Oh wait, I see them now on the site. They just took the picture down. Still, anyone what other bullion companies are planning on selling them?

I think I will wait for a few that I would like to have, like
2012 Hawaii volcanoes national park and Alaska Denali park (Mt. McKinley) and maybe 2013 Fort McHenry
My wife's family live in Hawaii and mine are in Alaska, so will have to have those and the 2013 Fort McHenry will go well with the 2012 war of 1812 commemorative dollar.

Well I think silver and gold will take a dive also but maybe not for a couple years yet as the ecomony will keep getting worse yet for another year at least. So gold and silver will beep going up and down a little but when things actually get better they will take a BIG price dive down.
Maybe I will get one of the NP that I like just to have one.

I was all gung-ho to collect these, but I find my interest waning the longer they delay the release. That they will only be available via secondary market also makes me think the price on these will be $159.95+, and also the "best" will be picked over.
Once you get near 50% over spot, I no longer think of coins as bullion pieces and want a fair shot at getting that MS70.
