Seems like enough. We have the instruments, some sheet music, a conductor and even a location (can't think of anywhere better than a Roman amphitheatre). A balmy night, a few cold beers, feet up and drift away. And in case they decide to play the 1812 Overture I've included some cannons.

I really like the orchestra that you've assembled, but it's missing a guitar, which is a necessity for the music I like to listen to when coining which is mostly Classic Rock.

I prefer groups like Supertramp, Pink Floyd, etc.,

Nice band!
Balalaika is a traditional Russian instrument with a triangular sound chamber. Ukrainian rounded relative is called bandura, and Kazakh (also rounded with a much smaller chamber) is called dombra. Most likely on a Singapore note it is something else.

It would be very interesting to listen to such an orchestra!

Nice band.

I have a few of these myself.

Your Poland 5000 Zloty has a picture of Chopin on the obverse.

Here a couple in my collection that you do not mention. The first from Belgium and thee second from Kyrgyzstan. I do not know what instruments are on the second note.

The ones with the sheet music and grand piano are absolutely amazing! Thanks for sharing! I should maybe start a theme for a side collection.

Since your collection is a worldwide collection, you can add the Tennessee State Quarter. :)

Thanks for the interesting replies. I just didn't have the time to correctly identify all the instruments. I did confine the orchestra to the notes in my collection so thanks for the other suggestions (as if my want list wasn't already big enough).

But if you're going to throw some coins in...

This is a new issue from Indonesia (1000 Rupiahs 2010). At first I thought they were taking up cricket and hadn't quite got the wickets right but apparently the angklung is a tradional instrument, though I'm darned if I'd know whether to blow it or hit it with a stick.

Anklung: "... musical instrument made out of two bamboo tubes attached to a bamboo frame. The tubes are carved so that they have a resonant pitch when struck. The two tubes are tuned to octaves. The base of the frame is held with one hand while the other hand shakes the instrument rapidly from side to side. This causes a rapidly repeating note to sound. Thus each of three or more angklung performers in an ensemble will play just one note and together complete melodies are produced. ..."
