Here is a Half Cent I bought for my type set this past week.
It just came in the mail today.

As you can see it has a couple spots, but what are thoughts
on grade.

1851-Half-Cent

1851-Half-Cent

1851-Half-Cent

Edit ... it is really closer to this color (I did I auto color correction)

The overall color is a bit light for an original, circulated Half Cent. More significant is the lighter tone in the open areas on the reverse. Those exposed areas were probably lightened by some gentle scrubbing while the protected areas between the letters remained darker and held on to some accumulated dirt.

Another vote for VF-30. The color is too light for that grade of Half Cent. I don't see evidence of a harsh cleaning - it may have just been dipped.
