GR58 Bedrock of the Community United States 11951 Posts	Posted 10/25/2010 3:44 pm Here is a Half Cent I bought for my type set this past week. It just came in the mail today. As you can see it has a couple spots, but what are thoughts on grade. Jaobler Pillar of the Community United States 6381 Posts	Posted 10/26/2010 12:00 am The overall color is a bit light for an original, circulated Half Cent. More significant is the lighter tone in the open areas on the reverse. Those exposed areas were probably lightened by some gentle scrubbing while the protected areas between the letters remained darker and held on to some accumulated dirt. Report this Post to the Staff
ACE Mike Valued Member United States 438 Posts	Posted 10/26/2010 04:04 am Another vote for VF-30. The color is too light for that grade of Half Cent. I don't see evidence of a harsh cleaning - it may have just been dipped. Report this Post to the Staff
