Nice finds, chettieyy! I am actually more impressed with the ATB finds than the silver. They seem to be a bit more scare.

Thanks Jbuck... I hear ya there as I until this box very rarely came across one nevermind what I found total in this box.. I actually found more ATB's than pictured as I still had about 1/3 of the box left when I took the pictures and found about 8 more than pictured on original post... I was amazed at what this box produced for finds I think I will be searching quarters a lot more often now as halves seem to be on the weak side lately... anyway thanks for the comment and happy hunting bud :-)

No problem I would be happy to help... On the 1776-1976 Bi-centennial quarters they made them in 4 issues: 1776-1976 (copper-nickel clad) weight= 5.67g 1776-1976D (copper-nickel clad) weight= 5.67g 1776-1976S (copper-nickel clad) weight= 5.67g 1776-1976S (40% silver clad) weight= 5.75gYou would be looking for the San Francisco mintmark ( they also made a clad version so scale is needed )and I would suggest weighing them as well because it wouldn't be the first time I have heard of a P or D with a silver clad base metal which is why I recommend weighing them all. Experts feel free to chime in if I am incorrect anywhere in this post. EDITED for my mistake!.... It's 80% or .800 & .200 copper for the silver issue.. my mistake I always thought it was 40%.. guess ya learn something new everyday but above is all info related to the issue. The two outer clad layers are 80% silver and 20% copper, but the core is 21% silver and 79% copper. Net composition is 40% silver, 60% copper.

Thanks Jbuck for correcting my not needed correction for the mistake I never made Seriously I thought I was going nuts because I have been at this awhile but I'm also highly medicated so I am always messing with something up or getting things mixed around.. Thank you for helping regain my sanity on this one.

Well I called my local bank the other day to talk to a teller I know to ask her to put aside a box of halves, quarters & dimes that way it wasn't such a rush if I got there and she was busy.. she told me she didn't have any boxes of quarters left but that she had put aside some rolls she thought I may like so off I went to the bank... I get there and find that she has 8 full rolls of uncirculated states quarters waiting for me .. Of course I skunked on the halves but am quite happy with the quarter rolls... they are as follows: x2 2005 Minnesota, 2004 Wisconsin(maybe leaf varieties ), 2007 montana, 2004 Michigan, 2006 Nebraska, 2001 new York, and last roll is heads both ends so not sure yet.. the one roll I opened which was falling apart anyway seem to be all high grade with barely any blemishes or marks.. I believe it to be someone who was collecting full rolls and got hard up for money and cashed em in? I can't really imagine these were still floating around in boxes...anyway just wanted to share with everyone.

Sorry I'm not up on the acronym. What does ATB stand for? I'm sure I'm gonna feel really dumb when you tell me....it's probably really obvious....

Yes they will be opened and searched for errors/ varieties but as far as I know only State Quarter with an error is the high and low leaf varieties on the 2004 Michigan quarters and I know 2009 had a couple errors as well but can't remember which one off the top of my head.. I will post any if found though.. They will be stored in coin safe tubes after opened to keep them "fresh". Quote: You gonna open the other rolls chettieyy? Might be some errors in there eh?!?!
