I have 3 of the 2000 Cheerios cents still in their original packaging. I just noticed one graded MS67 by PCGS that went for $80 in a Teletrade auction. Are these really worth that much or did someone grossly overpay for that?

I think the money is for the dollar and not the cent. there is nothing different about the cent. the dollar has a different rev die. I have seen the cents going for just a few dollars but the dollar going for 80+ dollars and into the thousands

The Sac is the one you want. With the Cheerios label, the cents are a popular item too.

The Cheerios cent selling on Teletrade for $80 was probably because of the MS-67 grade. Business strikes don't normally grade that high and a lower grade Cheerios cent probably wouldn't sell close to that amount.
