So I know someone out there's gonna help me with this real quick. I just think I'm looking for the wrong things.
I need an Album for my Jefferson's, but I want to add proofs to it. I looked at the Dansco 8113, but the proof starts in the 70's (the page slots for them). Didn't proof Jefferson's start in 1938? Where are all the slots for these?
Is there a better album I can buy?
Thanks in advance.

The proofs started being minted with the S mint in 1968

Might check the Whitman Albums. I know it' that way with the Lincolns too. No place for the SMS coins

The Dansco album with proofs, 8113, only has slots for date/mint mark proof coins that were ONLY issued as proofs, as 1968 and up S mint proofs. The earlier proofs, 1938-1964 were P mint coins, and rather than have 2 holes each year for Philly, Dansco figures you will go with either a proof or business strike, but not both. If you want both Philly coins in an album for the early years, you have to buy their album for just Nickles, with unlabeled holes, then label each year/mint yourself.

Or buy the blank pages that would save the expensive of the whole album

This is what I did for my Lincoln album, added two pages, 1 for the early proofs and one for satin finish.

Ah that's cool. I didn't think about that for the Lincolns. I'm probably not going to do the satin coins though, but that's just because I don't like the way they look at all.
For the Jefferson's though, I'm trying to do a really nice collection (my opinion of course) and I'd like to do as many cameo proof's as I can. I might just go buy the blank nickel pages. Now I need a label maker.

The idea I think with the Jefferson proofs with S mints and those only starting in 1971 and up was not to actually include all the proofs but rather include an example of every year and an example of every mint mark possible to be collected, whether they were proof or not. Yes you could have a 1970 S BU or a 1970 S proof so they did not include a hole for the proof. Same with 1969 S 1968 S and then on the other hand you could fill a hole with a SMS coin or a regular circulating issue. Phila circulation strikes had no mint mark, neither did the San Francisco of 1964 and prior.

I think what I might actually do is keep my 7113 and just add a page in the back of it and just label it "proofs."

Correct, the proof albums are for "proof only" issues. That is, there are holes for proof only when that particular mint did not issue a circulation strike that year. With the Jefferson album, you lose holes for the 1968-S to 1970-S proofs since San Francisco also minted nickels for circulation that year. The Lincoln Dansco is worse, the "proof only" holes do not start until 1975. This is why I bought the 7113 and 7100 albums. I then added a separate page just for the proof issues.
