The Peace often doesn't get the respect it deserves. I recently purchased this ICG certified 1923 Peace dollar and wondered what you guys would grade it? Seller's images here are all I have at the moment.

That's a real looker! Liberty's cheek, neckline, and the obverse field are magnets for contact marks but your coin is virtually mark-free in these focal areas. It's better than most certified MS-65 Peace dollars I've seen. I'd say it deserves MS-66, or maybe even higher.

I would love to say 65 but the numerous scattered marks make it 64 imo. Great luster and strike though. Great coin!

I think it's solid for 65, no more no less.

Close to 65, but I am going to side with the 64 group.

Stupendous coin. Slam-dunk 65 from any TPG. Huge strike. I'd love to hold this one in my hand and decide in person if it deserved 66.

Too many marks I think for a 66 could make 65 if you get a friendly TPG. They are tough on Peace dollars, however. Some really gorgeous coins come back 64.

Unless there is something hiding behind the glare on the reverse....MS-66. Beautiful

WOW! That is a nice one! Minimum MS-65 with a very believable capability to go above that!

Thanks for all the grades and comments. This coin popped up on ebay last night while I was looking at some MS65 Peace dollars. It was listed while I was looking, so I grabbed it for $94 delivered. The obverse strike is strong for a low-relief Peace and it sure looked like a solid 65 to me. Happy Collecting!
