That's a tough call Jim1953 (oops). If there were several DDO/R's for that year, I would tear into it in a heartbeat!

If it were me, it would be hard for me to just look at it and wonder what could be in there (errors, high grade coins) without digging into it. I would feel like I was left hanging if I didn't open it to search it and satisfy my curiosity.

If you open it, use gloves so as to not get fingerprints on them!If you picked up for a good price, you could turn around and sell it, too.

I'd open it up and take a look at what's in there. They could be pristine. Just out of curiosity, where did you get it?

I think I agree. Will open it tonight. I got it from an area antique dealer who use to be an avid collector. He is starting to slowly sell off some of his stuff.
One of the reasons I am going to open it because he has two more. If they are real nice, I think I will go back and ge the rest.
