I had a MS date set and started all over and now most (well cant say most of them, but definitely a few of them are his now) of my coins reside in TLS5933's collection and a few others but he has a few of mine, because I got the wild idea of wanting a MS-66 and above set now. I may get somewhere if I could stay away from all these dad burn 1878 VAM's, I start saving up to get that real good MS-68 Morgan and POOF I see a 1878 VAM that I just gotta have and I have to start over with my funding. But at-least I did get the ONLY 1878-S that NGC has graded MS-68PL which is actually the only 1878 Morgan NGC has graded above a MS-67 level so I am pretty stoked about that but I can tell this 66 and above set will be a long and twisted road

WOW Bryan,
I don't think I ever saw a MS68 Morgan. Did you post a picture of that here? Seems a person always gets side tracked by another "must have" coin when your trying to finish a set. but 1878 VAM's isn't a bad obsession either.Lately when I see a Commemorative,I'm like a one eyed dog in a meat packing plant.I can't get enough of them. just part of the hobby I guess.Always something to collect.

The single highest Morgan I have ever seen was a 1880-S and it was graded MS-69PL by PCGS and that was only in pictures, it was actually on ebay and bidding went up to $76,000.00 and the reserve wasn't met
