Hi, are these polish marks?
They're very pronounced, I hadn't seen them as strong and well defined, what do you think?

They look like Feeder Finger Damage.

I concur with Feeder Finger Damage. It is not actually damage on the coin but the die. Feeder fingers are flat notched metal bars that supply planchets to the dies. Occasionally, one will scrape across the surface of a die and create parallel gouges such as the ones you see on your coin.

Wow! Thanks Scooby and Biokemist, it's the first time I run into this error.
So if the damage is on the die and not on the coin I suppose there must be lots of other coins like mine, is it then considered a variety?

Nope just a worn/damaged die. A true variety coin would be one that started making varieties from coin one.

Now I get it, thanks Coop.
Just two more questions: is this a common error? Does it add a premium to the coin?
