Could it happen? Unfinished or improperly finished planchet? Planchet has what appears to be either Roman or Satin finish. This should not be the case with unfinished or improperly finished planchet preparition. Coin has some Obv. die wipe and appears mirrored toward center of reverse of planchet. I believe that this was caused from set up of die striking pressure. Does it exhist.? Imagine. Not a burnished planchet. Did they make this coin? Apparently. It is absolutely Perfect. As in PF70. Impossible, or is it? Again, this old man could use some help to share info, pics. This is real, and fun. Time to share. Thanx, and God bless all. Gusp

Not too sure, but it might be whizzed which makes the overall appearance "proof-like".

Coin is not prooflike. It almost looks Unc. in finish. It certainly is well struck and as made. The edges are as proof. It lacks the normal mirrors from burnishing, and has some die wipe. The fact that it looks matted or roman rather than mirrorlike is what got my attention. My dealer friends also do not know, Cepting that it appears real. Thanx, gusp
